About

Rotary District 5340 has always had a strong and proud relationship with the local military community. Given the large presence of active duty, reserve, veteran and retired personnel and their families in our midst, it is only natural that as a service organization we would embrace them. Rotary can be found promoting local military events, building, and improving facilities on installations, conducting food drives for families, and supporting a wide array of events in the area.

The purpose of the newly created District Military Coordinating Community is to:

  • recognize the wide-ranging military activities of the 65 clubs in the district
  • document various events and activities
  • provide an archive for events to both document and provide insight and inspiration to future events
  • provide contact information for members to ask questions or provide suggestions to the committee
  • provide a list of resources that are available to assist military members and their families in the local area
  • create a volunteer access point for club members to volunteer at various events as they are documented
